Itaipu Illuminated

The tour is a tribute to the ITAIPU dam workers. It has an audio guide on the bus and a themed musical presentation, with songs from the border, at Mirante Central. After the show, the monumental lighting of the dam takes place accompanied by a soundtrack. Tour only in Portuguese.

Path

Leaving the Reception Center, visitors go by bus to the Central Viewpoint, where most of the visit takes place (which includes an institutional video, live music from the triple border and appreciation of the Plant's lighting). Afterwards, the tour continues with the return to the buses to admire the illuminated dam, passing through the Forced Conduits and returning to the Visitor Reception Center for disembarkation.

The tour is intended for all ages. However, the sound of music can be uncomfortable for people with autism, children and the elderly.

Guidelines

– Our buses are open on the sides at the top, so it is recommended to use a raincoat on rainy days and a coat on cold days;

– We are in a binational security area, so all visitors must pass through the security barrier with an x-ray machine and metal detector portals to check belongings;

– This tour may change its route, depending on the Plant’s needs;

– The use of drones is prohibited.

Check information at the time of purchase. Half price for students only applies to Brazilian institutions. For foreigners, half price is only valid for people with disabilities. Proof and document with photos are required.

This product is intended exclusively for private groups and is only available on days outside the regular Itaipu Iluminada tourist schedule. (which takes place on Fridays and Saturdays). The event begins at the Visitor Reception Center (CRV), passing through the Itaipu Tourism security control. Exclusive use of the Mirante Central space, with institutional video showing, Monumental Lighting of the Dam and regional musical attraction. Activities such as themed decoration, food services, drinks and other artistic attractions are the responsibility of the contractor, and are subject to negotiation and approval by Itaipu Binacional. The contractor must provide a Technical Responsibility Note (ART) and, in the case of events with more than 200 people, must hire security, according to the estimated audience. The CRV group's movement to Mirante Central and passing through 144 Iluminada can take place in CTI vehicles or in the contractor's vehicles. Events are marketed for a minimum of 100 people and a maximum of 800 people.
